This committee shall provide information concerning the United Nations and its agencies, and the activities of Zonta International in connection with the United Nations. It shall also share legislative information related to Club goals and interests for Club member awareness and advocacy.
All Club members should submit relevant photos, documents, minutes, etc. to the archive committee for determination of inclusion in permanent storage housed at the Hancock County Historical Museum.
All committee chair year end reports are submitted to the President who reviews, and forwards reports to archives.
This committee shall record and promote attendance at meetings; work with the Program/Fellowship Committee and Membership Committee on the Installation Banquet in May, the Induction banquet in December, and the summer special event. This committee shall be responsible for determining recipients of attendance awards.
This committee shall prepare a budget for the upcoming year, appoint an Audit Committee, and suggest fundraising projects. Based on the General Fund balance, the Finance Committee shall determine whether or not the summer special event will be a fundraiser and notify the Program/Fellowship Committee by June 1.
The Membership Committee is responsible for all aspects of organization, membership and classification which encompasses new, existing, honorary, and emeritus members. The Membership Committee will provide printed materials about Zonta at the International and Club levels to interested guests.
This committee shall arrange for program speakers at the monthly meetings; shall coordinate the May Installation Banquet, the December Induction Banquet and the summer special event working with the Attendance and Membership Committees. The summer special event shall be a fundraiser, if so determined by the Finance Committee (See #17 Finance Committee).
In addition, this committee shall promote fellowship among members and among neighboring clubs; send card/flowers to members and/or their families when appropriate, including on members’ birthdays; keep membership informed of illnesses and situations affecting Club members.
This committee shall arrange with local media to cover Club events, submit meeting news to The Courier and other media services, and plan ways to keep the community aware of Zonta, both locally and internationally. Subcommittees include Newsletter and Electronic Media.
This committee shall inform local educational institutions about availability of scholarships, review scholarship applications, select scholarship recipients, and coordinate any special contributor scholarship awards approved by the Club.
There shall be a Scholarship and Awards Committee for awarding of the General Scholarship Fund and any Special Contributor Scholarship awards that are approved by the Club membership. The General Scholarship shall be awarded to one or more women from Findlay or Hancock County to be used for continuing their education.
This committee shall suggest Club service projects for Club approval and supervise Club service projects. They shall also coordinate the annual Women of Achievement Award. Subcommittees include Z Club.
This committee is a sub-committee of the Service Committee. The committee is an advisor to the Z Club and/or Golden Z Club; and attends the meetings of those clubs; works with the clubs’ school advisors; maintains close contact with the Z Club/Golden Z Club Boards; acts as liaison between their clubs, our Club and Zonta International.
